Colorado Man Given Sentence By Judge: Get hitched, Or visit Jail

More than some guys have now been proven to jokingly phone their wives “the ol’ golf ball and string,” or even be mocked some by their unique bachelor celebration visitors for enjoying their own “last day’s independence.”

In the case of a Texas guy though, it had been the contrary: engaged and getting married was actually a get-out-of-jail-free credit.

That is where situations had gotten strange. The judge, Randall Lee Rogers, supplied Bundy an option that appears straight out of a sitcom: He may go to jail for 15 days, which would have expense Bundy their task. Or, the guy might take two years of probation, with two significant circumstances: within their probation, he would need to replicate aside Bible verses daily, and even more importantly, get married within thirty days.

Bundy thought we would marry their 19-year-old sweetheart, Elizabeth Jaynes, inspite of the likely unconstitutionality in the sentence.

The bride’s dad informed CNN he was “really disappointed,” and it is looking for their choices to try and obtain the sentence overturned. Bundy’s now-wife, Jaynes, told regional section KLTV that she don’t be sorry for the exact choice for hitched, but that “it simply decided we had beenn’t gonna be capable possess marriage we wanted.”

They’d a quickly arranged wedding on courthouse, which means that Bundy stayed out of prison, and uploaded the picture below to Twitter.

Congratulations (?) towards newlyweds.
